Ikebana Vases Making bowls and vases of various sizes/shapes/colors designed to accentuate the natural beauty of flowers provides a wonderful opportunity for a functional artist/potter. My wife, Rose, is a student and teacher of Ikenobo Ikebana, the oldest form of Japanese flower arranging. The vases/bowls/vessels shown in this section were made specifically to support the flowers arranged in Shofutai, Shimputai, Rikka, Moribana, Nagerie, Shoka and Free Style.
