Throughout my first professional career as a clinical psychologist I was always involved in continuing education both as a teacher and a student. Life is learning.
Potters tend to work alone or with a partner. By participating in continuing education at a setting such as Metchosin (www.missa.ca) one has the opportunity to share and learn from 12 to 15 wheel throwers, as many hand builders, and numerous other artists during each 2 week annual summer session.
I return to Metchosin annually (10 years) to recharge the creative juices. Each year I enjoy learning from international experts and returning to my teaching studio to integrate the new learning and share with my students.
Learning from students through their questions and personal approach to clay work has led me to value the opportunity to teach what I have learned. This section describes my continuing education through MISSA and the Student Production Section depicts their work.
